Vote for Taghrid Al-Mawed

Vote for The Workers Party Of Britain on 4 July!

Promoted by Workers Party of Britain of 91 Church Road, Birmingham, B13 9EA on behalf of Taghrid Al-Mawed of 91 Church Road, Birmingham, B13 9EA

About Tahgrid Al-Mawed

Wales has often been disregarded, disrespected, and left behind by the London financial elites, and Taghrid Al-Mawed and the Workers Party of Britain seeks change this by bringing power back to Welsh working people and the Welsh countryside by fighting for Ceredigion and Preseli, the cultural heart of Wales.

Taghrid will focus on the policies that are important to the local population, such as the NHS (which is being failed by the Conservatives and will continue to be sold off under Labour), our crumbling schools (which are currently forced to fundraise for such things as swimming classes), and crucially in such a rural constituency, fully support our farmers by cutting back on the reliance on imported food and encouraging local food production (no farmers, no food!), rejuvenate and build up our coastal towns and make them thriving beautiful hubs that work for local people once again, support local businesses in our rural towns and villages, and preserve the resources centres that are near and dear to local communities.

Of course, there is much more to be done for Ceredigion and Preseli beyond that. Taghrid is a Palestinian UK citizen who has chosen to make the beautiful constituency of Ceredigion Preseli her home. The ongoing genocide is desperately personal and important to her, and the Workers Party will continue to call for an end to the ongoing atrocities that the main parties are supporting.

We want the UK to give the level of support to Gaza that it deserves, to pull out of its support for Israeli occupation, and to stop backing horrendous wars which use our tax money for sinister military activities abroad. The saying that “there is always enough money for war and never enough for the poor” will be a thing of the past under the Workers Party, we will cut our support for overseas wars and expensive follies such as Trident and plough the money we save back into the country where it is desperately needed to make sure our Welsh workers are supported and cherished once more.

Taghrid will fight for a stronger Ceredigion and by extension, a stronger Wales as she fully understands what it is like to live under occupation. The Workers Party is committed to a prosperous domestic economy and thriving countrysides that will redistribute the wealth to the workers and rural people, and is commited to peaceful foreign policy and solidarity between all other countries worldwide. Only through giving money back to the people can we revive and grow the public services and opportunities for economic growth that we desire. Instead of funding wars, the Workers Party will fund the services that will bring great wealth, health, safety, security and sovereignty to Wales and their working people.

Taghrid and The Workers Party are also committed to the youth of Ceredigion and Preseli, leading a diverse campaign uniquely consisting of mostly young people, passionately seeking to bring young peoples’ politics back to our country and pave the way for greater opportunities for young people in our constituency, and for future generations to come. Taghrid will open up youth centres, a local youth office, and host youth gatherings to work together and advance young peoples’ interests in Ceredigion and Preseli.

She shall also open youth clubs, expand education and drastically increase access to local apprenticeship schemes, as well as accelerate the creation of social care and mental health services throughout the healthcare system, schools, and Aberystwyth university. For all those in Ceredigion, workers and young people alike, please vote Taghrid Al-Mawed for Ceredigion Preseli on July 4th! A stronger Wales is an independent Wales!

Why vote for Workers Party?

Why vote WPB in Ceredigion Preseli?

“We need a fresh voice in Ceredigion Preseli, Taghrid represents us all and I am very happy she will be standing as a Workers Party candidate.”

Lynne Morgan, Borth

“Taghrid, born in Lebanon of Palestinian parents, has now lived and settled in Ceredigion for many years. A mother of three children, the youngest of whom attends a local primary school, she cares deeply about the things we all care about: the NHS, education, young people’s job opportunities, the environment. She wants her strength and passion to serve her community – our community. Which is why I support her.”

Elizabeth Morley, Trisant

This country deserves change — part of the way you can contribute towards that is by voting for a party that actually stands by what it says. That opposes the genocide in Gaza, and wants real change, right now.

Our Key Policies

Decent, Affordable Social Housing

Social Housing was something this country pioneered back in the day. We want to return to this, but with a modern twist, to provide affordable, cost-effective housing produced for people to live in, but using automation to meet the high demand for housing due to a failed free-market system.

Nationalise the NHS

The NHS has been broken into a million pieces — all of them private. It’s time to return the NHS back into public hands, do away with all of the expensive and convoluted market systems within it, and turn it back into a system which is responsive to the people, and for which, parliament is responsible. No more highly-expensive and useless PFI contracts.

Community-led Redevelopment

We will deliver mass-produced housing which will be affordable, and will provide families with homes of good quality. This will be done not by wasteful investment projects or private firms, but with automation and community-led building plans so that what gets developed in a community is what the community want, not what multi-national corporations want.

Bring in Children’s Online Wellbeing Act

We want to protect our children from addictive social media that leads to mental health, lack of confidence and self-harm issues. We want to limit enhanced content and all advertising to under-18s. That means taking on big Social Media companies in the Parliament to protect our future.

None of the mainstream parties would dare take on big corporate social media companies. This reason alone should be enough for you to vote for an independent party this election.

Stop the Genocide in Gaza

We are not afraid to call it what it is – Genocide! Most people agree with us, but the mainstream parties are simply ignoring the people. Make your vote Count! We do, by also supporting students!

Starmer’s Labour stands for relative reticence to criticise Israel. He said they have the right to cut off all water, food and electricity. He has never condemned any of the bombing of refugee camps killing hundreds at a time. That is unforgivable.

Reduce Bills – Nationalise the Utilities

Water and the Rail sectors are the prime examples of disastrous privatisation by Labour and the Tories. We stand for nationalising the utilities.

Labour – a supposedly left-wing party, can’t even name 3 industries they would nationalise.
